In history, the Frenchman Philippe Ruben was the first to develop a gas stove, and he obtained the patent right of a dual-purpose device for lighting and heating with gas on September 21, 1799. The following year, Ruben installed the device at his own expense in a restaurant in Paris. Because the gas stove developed by Reuben at that time would emit an unpleasant odor, it was not popular at the beginning and was not popularized. The world's first gas cooker for cooking in the kitchen was invented in 1826 by James Schaff, the deputy manager of the Northampton Gas Company in the United Kingdom. In 1855, German chemist Bunsen invented a gas burning device called "Bunsen burner", which is a device that mixes oxygen and combustible gas to generate high temperature. Less than a year after the "Bunsen burner" appeared, the British company Houghton Anton Smith invented the world's first gas-fueled home heating device. Later, with the gradual popularization of gas stoves and the steady supply of gas, today's gas stoves are formed.
